Connected by 25 Online Toolkit for Funders Recommendations for Strategic Grantmaking Changing the Rules of the Game: Youth Development and Structural Racism (Philanthropic Initiative for Racial Equity 2005) The findings from Changing the Rules of the Game suggest that youth development organizations that adopt a structural racism framework and approach can dramatically increase their effectiveness. Such approaches allow youth themselves to better understand, analyze, and respond to the concrete effects of structural racism in their everyday lives. This framework can also build on the relationships, recognition, and resources of youth development organizations that are uniquely situated to expand the possibilities for racial justice. Addressing Cross-Cutting Issues that Impact Vulnerable Youth (Youth Transition Funders Group 2005) This series examines how the systems of public education, juvenile justice, and child welfare can work in better coordination to address the needs of youth who are often impacted by more than one system at a time. The series provides information on the scope of the "tunnel problem" and recommendations for how funders and policymakers can support better collaboration between systems and youth-serving organizations at the federal, state, and local levels. The series is sponsored by Youth Transition Funders Group in partnership with The Annie E. Casey Foundation. A Blueprint for Juvenile Justice Reform (Youth Transition Funders Group 2005) This brochure provides recommendations of how funders can make strategic investments in juvenile justice reform. Results-Based Grantmaking: Impact, Influence & Leverage (Fiscal Policy Studies Institute 2000) This draft paper by the Fiscal Policy Studies Institute provides an important framework for funders involved in the YTFG action group and YTFG funding partners.
